You prob need to drive both…. I went from a TD6 to a 4.4TDV8 L322 and, bar looking down the same bonnet when driving, it felt like a different car….

Having moved a year ago from a 3.6 Vogue to a 4.4 Westminster which was built in the final week of production, I can honestly say that there is NOTHING more recent from the LR stable which I wish I'd purchased instead. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom |

This is such a subjective matter you can only really answer that by trying the L405. Ideally doing the things with it you would expect to be doing once you had purchased. Having tried both the L405 was the better car for me. Not the better car, just the better one for me. Happy experimenting. I have had TD6. 4.4 petrol and currently have a a 4,4 TDV8 L322 which is stuck in a garage awaiting a brake shield, as we tow horses 95% of the time we acquired an L405, it is nice but seems very 'car' like, does all the jobs but not as solid |

Sounds like the horses should be towing you! |

Thanks all we’ll have a look at an L405 and see what they feel like for us.
