Had a holiday in the lakes, then had a ride home on a recovery truck!

Replaced the FSR today (no fan, F41 ok).

What. A. Bitch. Of. A. Job.

4 and a half hours start to finish.

The thread on here doesn't apply to a 2012 Autobiography.

I had to take the lower dash trim off which involves removing half the sodding dashboard! There are screws hidden all over the place that aren't mentioned in the WM. The trim round the bonnet release has to come off which means removing the tread plate.



My mate getting the FSR out (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so no strength in my fingers).

What a ball ache!

The original lasted 126k miles. Hopefully this one will too!

Gentle drive, music courtesy of Smooth radio, cold air through the vents and the seats.

Great way to travel

I drove mine to a museum I'm involved with (NELSAM) where I drove this;



A Vickers Flight Deck Tug (4 wheel drive & 4 wheel steer, not fond of uneven ground though) pushing a Tornado F3 back into the hangar.

Well I washed the wheels and cleaned the windscreen. The rest looks OK so I'll postpone the annual wash !

Polished and put away until the hot weather cools a little...

2013 grill was loosing it's paint ( off the surround) and having asked around, was quoted a minimum of £60 to repaint it. Found a near perfect one on ebay and forked out a total of £42 inc delivery. Arrived today and now the front looks superb again.

Mid-season oil and filter change, my those draper vacuum pumps are a worthwhile investment!

Took into mj fews for a full service before i take her on a long trip for our holiday in the Scottish Highlands. So looking forward to the drive up i really am.

Collected from bodyshop. New inner quarter panels and sills. Excellent job. But ouch!!! Should have some photos which I can post in due course.
Expensive but needed to be done.  John

Done 450 miles in mine in two days. I still maintain its like driving an armchair up and down the motorway.
