Ride height and alignment

Noticed recently that the Left Rear tyre is wearing a lot on the outer edge.

I am happy with the alignment, and was done again recently, but find vehicle pulls left (a little) which Ive always put down to the road sloping downward to the left which needs correction from the steering wheel.

Measuring from hubcaps to wheel arch, Rear Left = 480mm, Rear Right = 484mm.

Could a difference in the ride height at the back cause the Left Rear outer edge tyre wear? And/or pulling to the left? 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

IMHO 4mm will make no difference at all. In normal setting the suspension only levels to 10m IIRC, you can put it in tight mode for alignment but it doesn’t make much difference in reality..

Once a tyre starts to wear on one edge it will tend to carry on wearing on the edge even if the alignment is corrected..

The camber on roads means you can get a very slight left pull, try it up on top of the camber or find a flat road..!! Pete

You say alignment was checked recently.
Was that front only or all 4 wheels including camber & castor ?
Are you confident the rear suspension hub bushes are OK - as you're describing the common symptoms of a worn bush or bushes ? Paul,

Doubtful the camber and castor was adjusted; not actually sure what went down with last alignment I had a helper go all the way to town and drop the car at the shop, I work from home in a remote location - I can only look at the printed report indicating all to be within range.

On my own inspection the bushes look ok, there are no knocks or squeaks.

But.

I rarely get up to speed though... Heading to the winelands today seems there was a wobble from the back at 110-120km/h, and the sensation through the seat feels like it is coming from the Rear Left wheel. Ill go to do the shop myself monday morning and ask for a rebalance and alignment and keep an eye on things.

Help me with this iCarsoft please... Is the Headlamp Setting the right thing for Tight Tolerance? What is this other Manufacturing/freeze Mode?
