any protection for air bags

just thought i would ask does anyone use any sort of chemical spray in and on the air bags . when i clean or wash the beast i power wash on off road height give them a good blast over to get any dust or gritt out . does anyone use a silicone or rubber preserve on and around the bags . much like drive shaft boots to keep them from cracking ? thanks oggy

Unsure if anyone has ever added a lubricant to these & nothing supplied by JLR as far as I'm aware. The only problem that I can see, is what ever you add will this not attract dirt / debris & cause more wear?.

I agree with your thoughts on cleaning regularly though Thumbs Up

high i take in what you have said . jlr are not going to state anything as they would like you to buy new at £400 when a pin hole lets go . i was more thinking the chemicals when used on interior that becomes very slippery more like a spray . i wash mine every week so would not get to much mud and grit any way . i use a rubber dressing by wurth for around the door trim rubbers and boot area much like you clean your horse tak and keep is soft stop it from cracking new vehicle purchase

You could possibly try a silicone spray, that may work.

that is more like what i was thinking of more silicon than any thick solid same as you stated not to attract grit etc this could be worth a try .
