United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black
4.4 TDV8 NON START, FUEL PRESSURES.

IM HAVING PROBELMS AGAIN WITH MY 2011 TDV8, WAS RESTRICTED PERFORMACE NOW NON START. THE WIRING PLUG HAD CORROSION DUE TO A VERY SMALL WATER LEAK FROM ABOVE ON IT IT,CHANGED THE PLUG STILL NO START,SO HAVE A NEW SENSOR TO TRY TONIGHT. GOT 0.8 VOLTS FROM SENSOR NOT SURE IF THIS IS ENOUGH SOUNDS LOW TO ME. GOT P0088 FUEL RAIL PRESSURE TO HIGH AND P0192 FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR LOW VOLTAGE.
GOT A FUEL RAIL READING OF 4900 PSI OR 344 BAR, ANY HELP PLEASE. Mercedes AMG w207
E class Cabriolet

I was not aware is a wiring kit, so going to order one now ,fingers crossed. Mercedes AMG w207

3 crimp joiners are normally used but you might organise your own joiners especially if you don't have the crimp pliers.

WELL FITTED THE WRING MOD AND WAS RUNNING GREAT UNTIL THE ALTERNATOR HAS NOW PACKED IN DOH, THINK IT MIGHT BE UP FOR SALE SOON LOL. Mercedes AMG w207

The alternators that LR fit don't last nearly as long as an alternator should and shouldn't be taken as an indication of the state of life for everything else on the vehicle. I had to replace mine's alternator at 150K kms which is typical but still poor life for an alternator.

Australia 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Bournville

I removed the alternator from the top, after removing the fan shield c/w fan (LH thread - light tap) and belts. Don't split the a/c pipe as it can be moved out of the way. The lower bolts in the fan shield were awkward because I didn't have a suitable ratchet and the ramps weren't high enough to allow adequate room for my arms to move. I've since purchased a 1/4" battery-operated ratchet although a 1/4" air ratchet would be smaller.
I replaced the 2 belts, idler pulleys, belt tensioner and the water pump to ensure that they would last at least another 150k kms. The stretch belt was clamped to the crankshaft pulley then the crank rotated.
I spread the work over 2 days - removed on the 1st then refitted on the 2nd as I had the time.
