I wonder if having the cruise on alters what gear it might be in, or will drop early on an incline where you wouldn’t normally?

The OP said ‘top’. Also no paddles on the 3.6 unless they have been added as a modification. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

OK thanks for the clarification but 1600rpm still seems high for that speed - can you confirm you are running stock 255/50 tyres on your 20" wheels? Listening to the sound of your engine in the other thread I'd be looking at this as a priority for a restricted performance warning possible cause. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Have you had a look at the 4 rubber hoses that go into the Intake Plenum, the large plastic 'donut' that sits underneath the big plastic engine cover. It's possible you have a minor split on one or more of the hoses that is allowing a little bit of air to escape from the intake, causing higher revs due to loss of turbo boost.

Loss of turbo boost won't change the revs vs road speed ratio as these are mechanically locked (assuming the TC is not slipping) 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

The noisy engine is a different vehicle. Nothing has changed tyre wise for quite a few months. |

After a period where I wasn't getting any error codes I'm now getting the usual set, i.e. manifold absolute pressure and turbocharger boost pressure low. |
