My only comment would be that the 2007+ cars are more reliable and the TDV8 is a much better and probably longer legged engine.

RSE is great if you have kids, but not worth it really otherwise.

I'm sure you could put RSE in for less than 3k and you could very well end up with a better system. |

What Pretlove is saying is the NON RSE car is already £3k more so there is no £3k spare to spend on RSE.....

I'd buy the TDV8 every time having driven both, especially if you tow stuff like a caravan. It's way more gutsy and refined, quieter, more fuel efficient and will likely be worth more come selling time. The TD6 is a good motor for sure and it's still a FFRR but ..........when all is said and done it is the old engine.
