2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
2007MY Vogue or 2006MY Vogue SE?

Hi folks

After weeks of searching I have narrowed my options down to:

1) 2007MY – Vogue [TDV8] 115k, one owner, full Land Rover full history. It benefits from reverse camera, TV etc. It does not have rear entertainment system but has the terrain response etc – for sale at 23k;

2) 2006MY – Vogue SE [TDV6] – 90k – 2 owners, full Land Rover history with Reverse Camera, TV etc. It does have rear entertainment system - £20k

Not sure which to opt for – both are in good condition and have been looked after.

My concern would be the deprecation when the new 2012 model is made for sale. I will keep the car for about 3 or 4 years.

Is the extra £3k worth it for the TDV8, particular if it does not have Rear Entertainment compared to the 2006 SE model?

Thanks
Thumbs Up

My only comment would be that the 2007+ cars are more reliable and the TDV8 is a much better and probably longer legged engine.

As also one owner and FSH it would be option 1) for me Thumbs Up

RSE is great if you have kids, but not worth it really otherwise.

The TDV8 is worth the extra, I just helped a friend of mine make the same choice.

It has higher miles but only 1 owner at that mileage is a nice thing to know. Discovery 4 HSE

I'm sure you could put RSE in for less than 3k and you could very well end up with a better system.

Yes, but it's a TDV8, RSE is in the TD6 Whistle

What Pretlove is saying is the NON RSE car is already £3k more so there is no £3k spare to spend on RSE.....

(Even if your crazy enough to do so)

I was confused by the logic of your post too. Confused

I'd buy the TDV8 every time having driven both, especially if you tow stuff like a caravan. It's way more gutsy and refined, quieter, more fuel efficient and will likely be worth more come selling time. The TD6 is a good motor for sure and it's still a FFRR but ..........when all is said and done it is the old engine.

Then if you need RSE buy a portable DVD player for 100 quid. My kids have managed with them for years. Thumbs Up

id buy the tdv8 and forget about spending £3k on rse you could get a custom job done for a lot less if you feel you really need rse "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"
