And I imagine retrofitting the high speed CAN will be expensive...

I was thinking more for the early cars - we already have the light in the binnacle for it! I saw mine once when the sun caught it and that was it - I wanted it

I "think" the kit from a 7 series would be the best place to start... Again, if it can be retrofitted to a BMW then it'll work on ours. On the BM's it's called Active Cruise Control, and there is a fair bit of discussion about it on the BM boards, generally the view is that it's too expensive.... But you're talking to the guy who's just spend nearly £500 to get DAB in his car!

But the 07 RRS has ACC may be it is possible with this..
