Your posts make brilliant reading Sir I know exactly what you mean regarding the tappets, or as I call them shims, did a set on an old Rover SD1 V8 for a friend, never again, it was a nightmare at the time. I worked out what to order, gave him all the clearances etc on paper, which he promptly lost

Your doing well with this, I'm still chasing random cold start misfires and odd misfires on normal running no logic to it all. There is no way I would be doing this to my 4.2 engine.....Still on the plus side my 4.4 m62 is almost back together.

If you were in Greenock and drove down the A8/M8 you were literally 30 seconds (well 2 minutes) from us. Weโre 8 miles from Greenock. Typical, eh!
