The L322 love affair began late last year when we had an opportunity to buy our neighbour's 08 TDV8 Vogue. My wife had a Toyota Camry which we we're able to sell within the hour of advertising it! Toyotas are the gold standard in the Dominican Republic where we live. Her transition from Camry to Full Fat was very easy!

I was so impressed with the RR that I decided to get one for myself. I found this 2010 Supercharged that previously belonged to a Senator in the capital, Santo Domingo. 61,000 miles, full service history from the Land Rover dealer and the timing chain tensioner job had been done. Sold!

A few weeks ago I saw a gorgeous black L405 with a silver roof. It inspired me, so I copied it.

What do you think?

As well as being aesthetically pleasing, my rationale for painting the roof had another factor. Parking a black car with black leather seats for any period of time under Caribbean sun, causes the interior to reach mercury like temperatures.

Having a silver roof has significantly reduced the temperature.
