It's the drop links, the MoT wording is a bit old-fashioned sometimes and doesn't necessarily exactly refer to the part or assembly to be replaced, just the observed defect. |

Perfect, many thanks. As an aside, I’ve also noticed that the MOT gives a registration date of October 2008, and the seller said it was a 2008. But the VIN clearly says that it’s a 2009 model year. It’s common practice in the US for a model year to be sold and registered in the preceding year and yet still be referred to by its model year… what’s the practice in the UK? When I go to sell this thing at some point, is it correct to say it’s a 2008 or a 2009? Sort of important to know the model year, I’d think, given that in the case of the drop links I’m seeing a difference apparently between the part number for 2008 and 2009…. |

Practice here in the UK is to go with the year on the log book, so 2008 for sale purposes.
