My guess is you were in neutral not reverse on your first attempt.... Mike - MPx

Ok, MPx, that would go along along with my 'Am I mad' theory, but it was in reverse and reversing, until I applied a little brake when the front wheels snagged...

This has happened to me when off road, e.g. parked with a ridge, stone etc behind the car. I found it odd and surprising, and it is not something my earlier RRs did. I have got out of the car to see if there was an unseen larger obstruction, and there wasn't. Driving forwards a bit and then reversing had the car clearing it no problem. I took it to be a quirk of the traction control, perhaps linked to the drive characteristics of the 5.0SC, but it seems to have happened to you with the SDV8.

Thanks CS, it sounds like the exact same thing, even with your mahooosive v8.. it's reassuring to know that these anomalies are out there, and not necessarily worrying, just a 'quirk'. MY17 VSE FF Corris |

Yeah same happened to me, bit of a lip going into my garage. Stopped at the lip one day and it wouldn't reverse over it, had to go forward a bit then reversed ok. |
