Removing “bong” notifications with gap tool

All,

Is there a way to remove the “bong” notification with gap tool, would it do under BCM?

Thanks

Why would you want to do that ? Is there a specific reason Question

Yes, the 'Bong' can be annoying, but I want to know immediately if something is wrong, especially from a safety point of view.

If you are talking about that really annoying bong when you leave the keys in the ignition, then yes you can.
I cannot remember which menu its on as I did it quite a while back, but if I remember correctly it didn't take me long to find.

Hope that helps

Yes, it will be silent mode for warnings/faults(only messages on display) when you disable the "key in ignition" warning sound. If I remember correctly of course...

Yes, it is indeed possible to disable the bong sound for several types of warnings. If I remember correctly it's under the car configuration menu. I would advise against it though, perhaps with the sole exception of the "ice warning" on which I plead guilty as charged... Whistle
But you can imagine the terror, cruising at 0330 am on a dark motorway in the middle of nowhere and being hit with a bong only to be advised of the ext temp of 3C. Thanks, I know it's cold and fully expect ice. Now if you please, you're scaring the kids... Laughing

I wanted to disable the high mode, bong, when close to 30MPH, and the damn door is open bong, why, because filming etc, in and out of the vehicle, door open, it’s just plain annoying. I know the door is open! I don’t need a bong.

All errors appear on the digital dash, ‘10-‘12 model, so in case some of you don’t have that model, we get every conceivable error flash up, menu options, so the disable bong, still shows error messages.

Gap tool at the ready tomorrow. Thumbs Up Check out my YouTube channel

I too would like to disable the "bong of doom" whilst awaiting a few sensors and bits to arrive. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2
