Czech Republic 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Epsom Green
Battery drain

Hello, having another issue with my L322 TD6 2004, it can drain my pretty new battery in approx. 2 days

- locked car have about 4A draining
- running car with lights, hvac and radio have about 14,5V on battery
- car going to sleep in 20min (no light near D/shift knob)
- alternator not draining it as nothing changed after unplugged it
- Fuse 28 for lights wipers removed - no change

- Fuse 49 (SATNAV) when removed it removes about 1.5A
(but before car is in sleep mode)

could somebody please help me what to check next?

well i did all measurements again ...

running car:
- with lights, radio + heated seats and windows ON - about only 12.5V on battery
- lights only - about 14.1V max

+ when I left the car connected to the multimeter and waited until it went into sleep mode (15mins) it dropped to 0.16-0.19A so it seems right

that looks like alternator is bad right?

Probably not relevant to all range rovers on here but upto 4a chassis there was a problem with the hevac unit causing the vehicle to keep waking up, I've read your posts very interesting, the bonnet switch you can pull it upwards goes into vallet mode so don't need to disconnect, fold a small piece of paper and stick it over the small fan on the hevac unit then just lock car and wait 20 mins the park light should go off on the gear selection and the piece of paper will fall off the fan, if the park light comes back on it means the hevac unit has woken up again and the whole system carrys on trying to shut down for another 20 mins constantly draining the battery, also leave the rear parcel shelf up and side door removed inside as the satnav is 1 of the last units to shut down when red light flashes and then goes off, hope this helps anyone..

Further to the last post I understand from Land Rover that a "kit" was available - masically it was an ignition fed relay that disconnected the main feed to the HVAC unit.
