Twisted / crimped wire?

Hi all

I’m in the middle of bringing my ff back to life and so far so good.

Anyway was just going to evaluate what was left to do this evening as I have sorted the couple of damaged wire and felt around the top of the loom near the top for the dash and felt bare wires - I pulled them down a bit and it looks like three wires crimped together.. is this normal? Should there be more? What’s the best thing to do I’m thinking about putting some adhesive heat shrink on if you guys think it could be normal - I can’t feel any other wire?

Cheers
