Finished my front brake change today along with a clean up of the areas underneath. My car had quite a bit of rust on the chassis and suspension components, so a good wire brush and a coat of paint and looks a load better.

Up to now I haven't noticed an improvement but there still bedding in. Hope there will be some improvement once the rears are done and bedded in. I used a stiff wire brush and then used hammerite smooth black. Can be painted direct to rust and is ment to stop it but not 100% sure that will happen, maybe slow it a bit. The rotors are britpart. Didn't want drilled and slotted just played to prevent rust but only ones I could find were these. Wanted the anticorrosion for the rears really so had to get a matching set. |
