The rivet part no. is KYQ100010 & differs slightly to a regular aluminium pop rivet in so much it has three ‘legs’ that open out on the rear side when pulled tight. |

How did you get that access?! I have tried to look int that space but the access is blocked with lots of electronics. Did you remove everything? My car is a 2006 SC Autobiography so may have more stuff than normal.

I ripped out nearly all the radio and nav stuff ( it's the out of date early BMW unit ) when installing an Android unit. On mine, the right hand side is just an electrical board that a few screws to remove.
