I think the designers/marketing people know what they are doing with all these gold ones. I have not seen one in the metal or in pictures that looks as good as the gold. I would never choose gold as a colour for anything but it works here. I saw a Charente grey one at a local dealer yesterday with silver atlas and silver 22s and it was very underwhelming. This car is very colour sensitive compared to the 405. I currently have no idea what colour to have so it’s probably best my order is still not slotted |

Have you seen a Sunset Gold Satin car in the metal 5.0? Keen to hear what you think if so.

Yes I have seen it in the metal and it is the best by a long chalk compared to Charente and Portofino which are the other colours I have seen. However I have not seen any of them in natural light or on the road which could make a big difference.

Thanks 5.0 that's helpful. Certainly in the videos and photos the Sunset Gold Satin looks good (great!) but I know what you mean about gold. That said didn't the L405 launch use Luxor beige cars? Not a million miles away from Batumi so perhaps the colour does suit RR in general.

Does anyone knows if the tail lamps stay always on from the moment you start the car? It would be nice with darker colours... |

Freddy Bear, Luxor beige is a good example of not going by the press photos in my view. It looked good on all the L405 launch photos and videos as I recall but I have never liked the look of it on the road. It looks like a dated colour to me and I think that may be true for the Sunset Gold when we see them on the road in our usual dull weather. The problem with a lot of these colours is that they are totally different in different light conditions. Belgravia is another good example of this. It looks like it's a nice green in sunlight and then a drab grey in dull light. |

Yes. That’s BRG in the sun. It looks almost black without bright light on it. |

Grange in Hatfield have one just like this in their showroom. The combination of the colour and the wheels makes it look very humdrum.
