Have you tried clearing the fault and seeing if it comes back. Could just be an electrical gremlin. If it's the servotronic valve (solenoid) at fault, they're relatively easy to replace. |

Thanks. Fault keeps coming back as soon as I start the car. Would it be ok to drive the 170 miles back home on Friday then get it sorted when I get home? |

Yes it should be ok to drive it if you take it relatively easy, the steering will be heavy but shouldn't lock up. Might be a good idea to check the wiring to the Servotronic Valve, it may have a break somewhere which could be repaired. Have a look in the Wiki for the Workshop manual, it'll have a description of steering components and diagrams to help identify the components and locations. |
