I bought my tag via euro tunnel link , and at the time had a good deal.

Wouldn’t be without it now.

U can borrow one from a mate if they are travelling at a different time. They are not linked to a specific car. (Stand to be corrected) Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Thanks Stan, didn't know about the ATMB version, that looks slightly better price wise than the emovis tag with the added bonus of the car parks Thumbs Up 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

There’s a number of companies who provide the tags. A search of “badge péage autoroutes” will give a lot of info. If anyone is looking to get a tag (“badge” in French) it is worth researching as, as I said above, there’s quite a variety of offers.

I think you’ll find the car park use with most, if not all. John

Mines from APRR - one of the other motorway operators. It works really well.

It costs 1.70EUR per month but only for the months you use it (otherwise free) and 10EUR delivery to the UK.

Mine also works in Spain & Portugal (apparently - though I've not actually tried it)

The world has moved on, but when I got my first one >10years ago Shocked APRR were the only one who would allow me to use a credit card rather than have a French bank account.

Functionally they are all similar, I think there is a France only option or extended coverage to include Spain and Portugal.

After that, it’s just straight commercials, how much they charge over and above the actual toll price.

Once you have one, you won’t look back, especially with a sleeping passenger or on a busy day when the regular booths have queues.

There’s also usually a ‘high speed’ gate on the right too, for the lorries. Sometimes that one moves quickest on a peak day as it just takes 1 idiot to block the lane…..

Mine is emovis and I’ve had it for about 10 years. Annual fee and it works in France, Spain and, I think Portugal, but I’ve only used it in France. Sold through a company based in Harrogate so it is linked to your UK bank account. Works brilliantly and I always use the 30 kph lane. Drive through, barrier lifts and then floor it (the Italian Tune up…..). Wouldn’t travel through France without it.

The same company runs the Dartford Crossing and I think the M6 Toll, but they can’t link your tag to those services, which is a shame.

It seems like you need 1 tag for France and another tag for Spain and Portugal

A line from the emovis tag website:

Why do I need a separate tag for France and Spain/Portugal?

We did some customer analysis and we found that only a small number of our customers drive in both France and Spain, most either drive to France by ferry or travel to Spain again by ferry or fly drive. Making one single tag work in both places would add cost to customers for a feature most wouldn’t need, so we went for 2 separate tags.

That's just their choice of what they sell.

I was given the choice and the difference in price was negligible, so I went for the one that covered all 3 countries (and 900 car parks)

Link further up the page.

ive had my tag for may years, and also have emovis one. as said it links to your UK bank and is all set up to be fully automatic in terms of payments.

I have had a few issues with dash cam interference, which I presume would be the same for all tags. Something to bear in mind when you barrel into the fast lane......

On a couple of occasions I've come to the tolls and it just didn't register. We had to unclip it and hold it out of the window. Turns out it was the dash cam which has wireless upload on it. I can only presume the cam was drowning out the signal from the tag. I unplugged the cam and all was well again. though it knocked my confidence in it a bit. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I think you are supposed to put them behind the shaded area so no-one can see them and be tempted to steal them. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
