It’s the area of the windscreen that isn’t an RF screen because of the gubbins Stan mentions. John

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

this thread coincided with a mate of mine messaging me about any tips for a ski trip to the alps......

tag and a spare clip is now winging its way to him, seemed like a nice thing to do as he's night driving down and his mrs would have to wakeup at every toll or else he would have to get out and walk round..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes - the tag usually comes with 2 clips so that you can move it between cars if required Thumbs Up

Also - if you ever break down, unlikely in a FFRR I know, remember to remove it before it's loaded onto the recovery truck.

Wouldn’t be without it now.

U can borrow one from a mate if they are travelling at a different time. They are not linked to a specific car. (Stand to be corrected)

Mine are; at least for the once in France I have to change the reg as a lot of the tolls use a camera, too. Not sure on my Spanish one though.

Edit: wrong way round. Just logged in to my account, reg not required for France, is required for Spain and Portugal. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

Emovis isn't linked to a car, I've used the same tag in 3 different vehicles without any problem. It is a real win for the sleeping passenger, I just wish the beep was a bit quieter!

i gather that beep is to confirm that the tag has been accepted at the toll booth. ... - .- -.

That's it, just a bit noisy for the sleeping passengers. Some people are never happy! Smile

Are you still paying these fines Sandy? , I thought the co-operation for collecting the speed tax had stopped.

I also understood the static cameras flash, but unless you are doing more than 3-5 mph over the fine isn’t issued. I’m not that sure. . Whereas here they flash and that means you are visiting the bank.

By the way lots more clandestine cameras in French unmarked cars now on the road. That said the cost of the fuel at 90 mph is nearly as much as the fine.

I’m finding 130 plus 10k is more than enough. I have slowed down in my old age! The only issue I might have is if I’m tempted to motori @ 140k on one of those straight , never ending, D roads & will be frowned upon Rolling with laughter Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
