Hi all, strange one this,

I’ve noticed that my RR is lowering its suspension to the ground when it’s been left a few days 🤔

It’s never done this before ?

When I start it up, suspension raises to correct level and stays there with no issues.

There’s no warnings or faults flagging up and it works fine moving to all three levels ?

Any help / advice greatly received!

It could be a slow leak in one of the air struts.

All my air suspension RRs have done this when a bit older, say after 5 years. I just put up with it and have only ever had to replace one air suspension bag, which tore when the wheels were hanging down when the car was on the dealer's lift. When my first 322 was about nine yo it took a while to get up to height again, one had to leave it to idle for a while before driving off, but once there it worked well enough.

It might be worth your while searching for threads about compressor seal leaks too. I recall people talking about putting the car on the highest setting and then putting soapy water on the air bags to see if any bubbles could be noticed, but I've never done that myself. Apparently they can get a bit porous with age, especially on the sections that compress and decompress as the car rises and falls. If you have auto lowering to access height when the engine is switched off there might be more wear too, I disabled that function as I don't need or want it. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Mines a 2014 does it have it ?
I can live with it cos it works fine, rises and lowers fast enough etc.

Is there a way of testing for leaks on pump seals ?

If you spray soapy water on any of the air lines/valves/bags then a small leak will show up as bubbles.

You may be able to live with it now, but at some point a small leak could become a big leak and leave you stranded.

I take it one bag leak would cause the whole car to drop ?

Would it not flag a warning or fault up ?

If one air-spring is leaking then to a point the other corners will gradually lower to keep the vehicle level. Removing the 10A suspension system fuse (#20 in the rear fuse panel) overnight will reveal a sinking corner.

Just looked at this link, number 20 in either box is sunroof or alternator?

Is it fuse no. 20 in the rear fuse box as the link in my previous post doesn’t say no. 20 has anything to do with suspension?

It doesn’t even have a no. 20 in rear fuse box 🤔

There are two fuse boxes behind the panel, an upper one above the auxiliary battery and a lower one inside the rear quarter void. You are right in that the fuses in the upper one only go up to 16. However, in the lower one they go up to 30.

Fuse 20 is a red 10A fuse for the Chassis Control Module. Kev

**update**
I’ve found a diagram and by the process of elimination I’ve removed a 10amp fuse.

The chassis control unit fuse on the diagram is number 20 and it’s in the upper fuse board in the rear right not the one I sent the photo of in the previous post.

I’ll leave the car now and see what happens !
