I appreciate your wheels don't have the sensors, but is your vehicle fitted with TPMS? Does it have the antennae in each wheel arch, behind the liner? Kev

You just need to install the sensors into the wheels. No need to reprogram anything as far as I know. Kev

From my foggy memory of doing this, there's 2 different frequencies and I learned the hard way and bought 4 of the wrong ones and seem to remember using my friends Autel to turn them on. |

The ones this P400e takes is LR070840. It's 433Mhz after a Google search.

When I bought a set of wheels with TPMS from Duckworths I wondered about this. It turned out that they automatically set themselves when put on the car. I change wheels summer and winter and no problems. So assuming you get the right TPMS sensors it may well just work. My fallback was to ask the dealers to do it, but not needed. When I had a flat the TPMS found the spare immediately and while I drove the car without a spare,

Took old wheels with sensors and new sensors along with the new wheels to a garage. They said the sensors will need programmed and requires specialist Range Rover tool. They said the specific tool has some ethernet cable connection. |

Not sure about programming but the sensors are often shipped in a "sleep mode" and need to be activated by someone. See here https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic58856.html?highlight=tpms for further details. In my case I went to Landrover who activated them for me. |

a quick research shows that an activation tool is required if you fit new sensors...what i can make out is that its a handheld device that you point at each sensor [in wheel] and wake up the sensor..

I have just had some new OE sensors fitted by a local garage that refurbs wheels (apparently the originals broke apart when he tried to remove them). However having fitted the wheels back onto the car it appears that there is no recognition of the actual tyre pressures. I guess I will also have to get the Dealer to reset the monitoring too. I will report back when they have had a look. 2015 Range Rover L405 SDV8 AB Corris grey
