Heated/Cooled seats

The heated seats in my 2013 SDV8 VSE do not get very warm in the seat area. The back rest warms up very quickly but, the seat portion does get warm, but not much more than lukewarm. Also when choosing the heat zone, you can only have the backrest or the entire seat i.e. no seat base. Does this point to a failed duct/Peltier in the seat base?

TIA

i believe the heated / cooled seats are supplied by cold or hot air whereas the range rover heated seat only options have a heated element ..

does the cool work ok cos i suspect the air ducts or filters might be clogged up.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan

Yes, the cooled setting works fine. In which case, if the seat heating is supplied by hot air, it may suggest that the car needs to be warm enough to heat the seats up. I'm not too bothered but the wife does complain they are not as good as the ones in her Freelander Shocked .

Thanks

Thanks for that. I will buy a new filter and see if that makes any difference. As I said before, the seats do get warm but not that warm. I don't really want to start taking them apart as I have not had heated seats in any car so what you have never had you never miss Smile
