A new feature is advertised on the JLR website and at first look it seems to be available only for the Pivi Pro systems:

However, there is this phrase between the videos: Jaguar and Land Rover Remote Skill for Alexa. This functionality is also available to customers in these markets with vehicles equipped with the Touch Pro infotainment system.

What they mean is that an Alexa skill will be available (or already is).
Skills are like apps that help you do more with Alexa. Jaguar and Land Rover Alexa customers in the UK and US will be able to control and check on their vehicle wherever they are using the Jaguar and Land Rover Remote Skill and any Alexa-enabled device. ‘Alexa, ask Jaguar to check my range’, ‘Alexa, ask Jaguar to start the climate’, Alexa, ask Land Rover if my car is fully charged’ or ‘Alexa, ask Land Rover if my doors are locked’ are just some of the features customers can access.

There is no official JLR skill for Alexa in my market...

I just stumbled on this - I had no idea there was an Alexa skill!! Just got it set up and can now start the car via voice. Amazingly cool. And way faster than using the app. 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray

Nice spot Adara, just tried it on mine and it works ! I'm guessing with the L405 it will be one way, as in home to car but I think the L460 will also be able to communicate from the car to home. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

you need to add the Alexa Land rover skill to your Alexa account:

Then it will ask you to login to your in control account, once you have done that you will be able to do the following:

“Alexa, ask Land Rover to check my range”
“Alexa, ask Land Rover if my car is fully charged” (for EVs and PHEVs)
“Alexa, ask Land Rover if my doors are locked”
“Alexa, ask Land Rover to lock my car”
“Alexa, ask Land Rover to start the climate”
