Got a 2005 td6 facelift with 55k on the clock, been away for a week and on monday had to call out LRA as engine making large whooshing noise, they came out and couldn't find anything wrong said poss viacous fan, since then no problems. On way home today and the engine lost power in that it felt like the turbo had stopped working, bout 3 mibs later felt like the gearbox was changing down then complete loss of engine power, battery and oil light came on and loss of power steering, any ideas? Thanks ben

Sound like your drive belt has gone as it powers the power steering and alternator and if no juice going to the battery it would drain it and stop the engine.
