Adaptive Cruise and DSC

I use cruise control very rarely, but had it set today on the motorway and noticed the DSC light was on continuously. Adaptive cruise was working perfectly, and DSC light went off when I cancelled cruise control. Is this normal? No reference to it in the manual, and could find nothing searching here. Fault check with IID on return home and nothing untoward showing up. 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

There is a light on the dashboard to show the cruise is on…. Sure it’s not that? Simple things first and all that….

It's certainly not normal, indeed if DSC was switched off prior to setting CC/ACC then DSC gets switched back on. I would try switching DSC off then selecting ACC to see what happens but if still malfunctioning then I would disconnect the battery for a few seconds which will cause all ecus to cold start.

Ignore my post! A classic case of 'Should have gone to Specsavers' - it was the amber follow mode light, not DSC ! 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue
