My son is starting to have a bit of "buyers remorse" spoke to him on the phone this morning and he reckons the display is lower resolution than standard, that a couple of lines are missing at the top (time in particular) and one of his speakers is crackling, I will inspect over Christmas and report back. Even though I will lose Dual View (I never use it) I'm leaning towards the more expensive option (complete Android Head unit) - but I think I'll just wait.

Replacing the head unit completely, I think there may be a couple of options. As I say no rush this is likely to be a project for next year. Geoff |

I had the whole head unit in mine replaced with an android system. It is night and day better than the factory unit and the only thing lost is the dual view. Expensive- yes but as I drive a lot of miles and I will be keeping this car for a while it was worth it for me. 2019 Autobiography SDV8 Byron blue/black - current

I like the second cheaper option, the £500 one. As I always use Waze on my phone I get fed up of squinting at the phone screen. I assume (daft question incoming) that with this unit then I could finally hear the waze directions as I can't at present. |

Isn't this a better solution? At least the source is trustworthy: https://www.carlinkitfactory.com/product/c...nt-system/ |
