Seiko and their “big brother”, Grand Seiko make some really nice watches |

I’m a big fan of Grand Seiko. They are much easier to get hold of in UK in past few years. I’ve got the Snowflake but they make some stunning pieces which a lot of watch aficionados rate as higher quality finish and movement than Rolex - putting them on par with Patek and Lange (although their movements are in a class of their own). |

GS are indeed up there with the best. The problem they face is, the public perception that Seiko also do relatively inexpensive watches, so why would you spend £000’s on the same brand, even though they aren’t. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Grand Seiko really appeals to me. Something very attractive about the way it quietly gets on with it and is exquisitely crafted. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior

GS has some absolutely amazing offerings. Quality is on par or better than equally priced brands. Seiko on the other hand has been consistently producing affordable and durable time pieces while the newest models are some of the best values out there. Shared GS and Seiko designs are much welcomed |

I bought a Seiko in my late teens & every watch up to the last one has been seiko. Not out if brand loyalty, but because they were the watch that was the best for me at that time. On my 40th or 50th my wife wanted offered me a £5000 Rolex , I turned it frown and bought a £360.00 seiko instead.

Love it. It also comes with a NATO strap in case the rubber one proves uncomfortable.
