been looking at this for a while now Craig and i've narrowed it down to 2 options..there are some units which can be bought abroad but these are in the UK..

I like the look of the second (less expensive one). Fitting seems fairly idiot proof too. I guess that you lose the original satnav so presumably no phone with you will mean no satnav either. The lack of reviews (2) suggests not too many sales to date.

most times if you need the nav then you'd have your phone with you...other than that maybe a supplementary cheap chinese nav [£20-30] to help if needed.. ... - .- -.

i thought i would update this thread with an option, although its not using the OE screen its an add on that can be quickly removed..

I’ve got the identical unit similarly fitted in my 2011 L322, and have been really pleased with the ease of fitting and how well it works.

usb is for connecting your phone [android auto or carplay] and it charges it at the same time.
