My sat Nav packed up and my new iPad is Wi-Fi only so no gps. So I’ve just been using Waze on my phone, spoken instructions come into car system as phone calls. As well as real time it also made me realise that for most of my journeys I don’t actually need a sat Nav at all Geoff |

the 4 zeros are for the BT connection Mike...the 8888 password code is for a config screen which doesn't do anything different to the normal settings screen. ... - .- -.

Apple CarPlay is so much better than the original Nav system, so this relatively cheap option is a good easy way to update the car.

Here is a photo showing the Intellidash unit sat directly in front of the original fitted screen.

I just bought one of these second screen things from China (original SatNav packed up) it only cost me less than a hundred quid and it works fine with my iPhone (using Waze) however mounting the screen in my 405 is actually presenting the biggest challenge as the unit is slightly thicker than a "normal" tablet so a claw type mount doesn't work. I got a magnetic one but the bit that sticks to the screen keeps coming unstuck anyone got any ideas?

Well I stuck with it, bought 3 different types of mount - but none produced the effect I wanted so I just modified the redundant Brodit mount I used for my iPhone (which now charges wirelessly) - perfect, although I do need some shorter wires. |
