Suspension fault

Hi all
I have the following suspension fault on my 2011 4.4 TDV8.
C1A13, I believe it’s the brass valve, that needs removing and drilling out/cleaning.
Has anyone done this and do you have any tips or is it as straightforward as I am led to believe?

There are quite a few threads on this around on here and if you look in the WM in the Wiki under suspension fault codes you'll see the code identfied and suggested possible causes.

Can we assume your suspension is taking a longer time to lower?

The brass valve is, I suppose, the exhaust silencer and it is known to beome resrticted in some cases. The suggested remedy to check by removing and test the suspension and then bore a 2mm hole straight through until you decide to replace it, if it's available as a spare.

Others may be along with more knowledge, but HTH. Cheers
Richard

Very easy to drill through the exhaust silencer. Do it off the vehicle and make sure all the swarf is blown out before refitting. Bish.

Hi Knares

I'm not familiar with the 2005 model, so can't tell you whaqt the photo is of.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I'm not sure why you are looking at the compressor? Have I missed antoher threasd of yours? Cheers

@ Knares, if i remember correctly that is the PRV - pressure relief valve.

If you have a brass exhaust valve on your 2005, it will be on the compressor itself. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
