Mine 4.4 ajv8 does this as well. I heard that sound 2 years ago, but I never worried too much as it doesn't seem to get any louder by the time that went. I believe it is torque converter related (mine currently on 260 000km) RR HSE 4.4 2006 LPG |

Is yours only on one side of the vehicle? Mine only has 75k on the clock and doesn't seem to have any other TC symptoms...but it could still be I suppose |

Just to square this one off - it was a corroded gear shifter linkage of all things....Sprayed down with wd40 and then moved all of the way forwards and back - with the whole process repeated a few times. I hope this helps someone else in the future as it was driving me mad! |
