Today I have mainly been...

...Tinkering with the RR.

Wirebrushed the rusty wheel arch lips - There is something quite disturbing about wirebrushing one's Range Rover!
Applied liberal coatings of Kurust
Followed by two coats of Hammerite.

Then decided on a full interior detail, that basically took half the day especially as that entailed a full leather session with Connolly Hide Food. The leather is now as soft as something that's really soft.

Finished off with a couple of filums this eve:
Austin Powers - International Man Of Mystery (never seen it before, I did do a few LOL's)
Tron Legacy - I loved the original, and this latest one is fantastic. Great music by Daft Punk.

What have you guys been upto?

Worrying my 4.4 isn't going to start tomorrow morning...Sad Dan - you're technical - if the red LED is still flashing on the display, do I still have life??

Back on topic - I can't believe how much you do to your car yourself - it really is quite special! Looks great too. Smile

I'm sure your LR garage will tell you that the Red LED is what's causing your battery drain. Maybe they will suggest disabling the alarm, or maybe just never lock it? That would certainly stop the central locking motors wearing out!

I too can't believe how much I have to do on the car just to maintain forward momentum! Still, beats the crap out of public transport with all those "buswankers" (reference to the inbetweeners - if you don't watch it you are NOT cool!)

Ha...probably. I'll explain that to the insurance - 'LR told me not to put the alarm on so it'll start each morning.'

And yes I do watch the inbetweeners...the FFRR is the perfect way to escape from those you describe LOL.

England

Saying as I washed mine yesterday, me and a mate were both bored so decided to have a drive out, initially only to Halfords to get some tyre shine, then had a look at a couple of Touareg's round the corner at the VW dealer, (Don't worry, not for me, parents are thinking of buying one as my pops can't get used to driving their Mk5 Golf and he fancies a change) Then from there, had a drive to Saltburn by the sea, then to Whitby via some fantastic country roads up through the moors, came across a headless sheep by the side of the road too, then ended up in Scarborough.

All in all, quite an unusual day, work tomorrow though Sad 2006 Mercedes CLS

But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...
