I put an energy tuning uk box on my TD6 a few months ago, MPG went up from average 21-23 to 27-29 (verified computer against fuel fill) and, taking it steady on a run I get up to 38mpg. smoother to drive, picks up quicker all together amazed with the results. Best £180 i have spent.

Yes Scarey, confirmed with full tank at 27-29, the 38 was off the computer just for a particular journey (40 mile round trip on mostly dual carridgeway, steady driving. Have confirmed the improvement on a tank fill I am confident its accurate, also if you start to boot it the consumption goes noticably down.

I'd be tempted to have remap on my TD6 but would like to know what else it may affect. Obviously the extra power must put a strain on other things.

Currenty have a 2003 Vogue TD6 with a 2010 facelift conversion, fitted a energy tuning box, most impressed with the results. Remap or box, each to thier own, drove my mates RRS with a remap and could feel the difference compared to the RRS I had at the time. Similar improvement to the improvement that I experienced with the box on my current TD6.

I got mine from energy tuning uk, the only reson i chose them was they were based not to far from me, I am in Durham, they are based in northumberland, I called first, talked to the guy and ordered over the phone. About £185, price seemed mid range between the cheap ones on ebay and the £300-400 jobs.

mmmm very interesting, is it easy to fit? and is it water proof or come with a water proof enclosure? its half the price of the speedhawk box too, and you can give it back if it doesnt do what it says on the tin. got to be worth 180 hasnt it? that would pay for itself in a few fill ups.

It comes with full instructions and photos. The only awkward bit is the location of the electrical connector which is up against the bulkead at the back of the rocker cover as you look at the engine from the front. Its a 5 minute job to fit once you locate the connector.
