2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black
Steering Wheel Volume Control & Streaming

Hi all, have recently changed my L322 for an L405 (2015 Vogue SE SDV8). Really pleased so far...! Just wondered if anyone can help/advise on the following:-

1. Music Streaming volume - the streaming volume level is really low and to get to a similar level to the radio/cd I have to virtually double the volume level?
2. The steering wheel volume buttons do not seem very sensitive and it seems to need two pushes to start adjusting volume?

both problems seem to be normal Nick...i find radio stations are the same with radio 2 louder than gold for instance.

my westie had an AVC [auto volume control] that compensated for the difference in volumes..

and the steering wheel up/down volume does need some clicking ... ... - .- -.

Thanks for the replys gents.

Alistair, I tried increasing the volume on my phone but didn’t make any difference

Stan, my L322 was just a Vogue so don’t know if it would have had the AVC but don’t remember an issue with different levels for different sources (didn’t have‘streaming’). With the L405 the radio and CD seem to be similar levels of volume but the streamed significantly lower. Sorry to hear that the steering wheel control button is normal, can’t think why anyone would think that it’s a step forward!

I agree with Stan. Music sent via Bluetooth does have a lower volume that other sources. I was told this was a restriction imposed by Bluetooth to prevent ear damage when using headphones.

To get around the problem, I use the USB socket in the centre console box, volume via this seems to match the other sources much better.

number76, thanks for the reply - I’ve got an iPhone XS and have looked in settings but can’t find a Bluetooth volume setting? Can you help?!

millerj90, thank you too. Not tried the USB yet but would rather Bluetooth the music and turn the volume up than forever forget to unplug my phone when I get out of the car 😀!
