Silly cleaning and polishing question.

I am 6ft and have quite long arms, but even with a step ladder, find that stretching across from each side to wash or polish the roof, makes my old bones creak. I bet that there are some great techniques out there, share them please. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

I’m of similar height and I use the side steps to stand on to do the roof. To get right into the middle I put a foot onto the rear wheel spoke to give me extra reach. I’ve also got a caravan washing brush as a hose extension which works well.

I have a small folding stool which is 60 years old and it is perfect for this and a thousand other annoying little jobs. No wonder we call it "the really useful stool" in our house Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I’m 6’2” and use a small stool and long arms.

I need to purchase a taller stool (or ideally bench step) at very least as I’ve looked at the recently cleaned car from a bedroom window only to see a line of dirty car with water marks on the roof where I didn’t quite reach!!!

And once you know it’s there… Big Cry Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8
