I’m of similar height and I use the side steps to stand on to do the roof. To get right into the middle I put a foot onto the rear wheel spoke to give me extra reach. I’ve also got a caravan washing brush as a hose extension which works well. |

I have a small folding stool which is 60 years old and it is perfect for this and a thousand other annoying little jobs. No wonder we call it "the really useful stool" in our house |
