They are very nice cars BUT they reall6y missed a trick not having it Plug In. One of the most expensive ways of generating electricity is with a petrol engine, the only way it really gains is when you brake, regen braking giving you energy recovery, at all other times its a disadvantage with extra weight etc.

30 miles a day, just use the 3 pin charger. I've been doing that for 2 years now, all OK. |

Got a Kia Niro 4 petrol hybrid as SWMBO’ s motor. It’s 3 months old and averaging 52.6 o the dreaded E10. Fully loaded….leather, heated and cooledseats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise, car play, phone charging pad etc etc. It’s a nice drive not the fastest but easily keeps up,with traffic. Weird going 70 on a motorway and engine switches. Off,

It's funny isn't it because they could hardly give away ID.3s at the start of the year when we were buying.

Absolutely, and bear in mind you don't need to top up every day, you can, but you don't top up you fuel tank every time you drive 30 miles, do you. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l Current RANGE ROVER Vogue 4.4L SDV8 - 2013 - Indus Silver, on Almond. In a nutshell, hybrid, especially non-plug-in is a poor association: you carry two complete propulsion systems yet both are barely enough to move the car on their own : when the (tiny) battery is depleted you tend to rev up the (also) tiny petrol engine and emission then go through the roof. 100% electric is the way to go, especially if you can generate and ideally store your own green energy (mainly solar, or individual windmill, but solar is by far the best system) I have asked a couple of retrofit specialists if they would convert my L322 but they won't do it as it's too modern and requires redoing the whole electrics/electronics for a one-off - and it's most likely cheaper to buy a model X anyhow. But in a few years, there might be a way. in the meantime, JLR might bring their EV L460 in 2024. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l Current RANGE ROVER Vogue 4.4L SDV8 - 2013 - Indus Silver, on Almond.
