France

Just returned from France.

Pleased to report the natives are just as friendly as always. Food is up to standard despite the lack of supply from around the Channel Islands.

Eurotunnel is slightly different , even since the summer . Need a few extra minutes going out , and lots more coming back , unless you are paying for fast track.
They have reconfigured the queuing on the French side coming home. Not so much a figure of 8, but of 88888 ! My guess is they seem to have in their mind they will stack the cars in the loading area, therefore calling early, so be there early. . I guess it’s going to be mayhem in the summer. Why ith8s system is not replicated going into France on the English side isn’t clear…. Unless they haven’t got around to it yet!
Whatever you do load your Covid documents prior to travel, or queue to get it sorted .

In France you need your Covid passport everywhere, until July next year. As from December 15th over 65’s need third jab proof. Supposed fo be electronic ie in the app, but they haven’t got that figured out here, ie we don’t do it so unable to copy what doesn’t exist into the French app.
Masks most places. Considering the ski slopes as well. Next year there is the probability of euro visas together with fingerprint requirements. That will be fun & slow!

Anyway anyone traveling soon, have a good trip. We did.

Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

I returned last month and didn't have any issues. Mind you, I was there at 5:30am and got on the train at 7:40 despite my ticket being for the 9:50 train.

Also no issues with the pet passport and documentation either.

Would agree that the queuing on the French side has gone somewhat mental, lots of snaking through. The queues before the ramps are still the same though - the standard lanes. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

My third won’t load, and newspapers hi-lighted the issue. I’m sure it will be resolved as France only announced the measure last week and the NHS IT guys need to get their head around it.

That said no idea why you have yours works … anyway worth while for others swiftly checkprior to travel. ,

On my way out again at end of month 8th trip this year and have to say the returns are hard work time wise but getting better and having flexip-lus gives virtually no benefit lets see what happens at the end of the month
