hi if i use the bottom set of rca behind front seats to show on rear screens can you also see what you are watching on the front screen the same time or will i have to try and link it in some way thanks new vehicle purchase

okay thanks for your input i am sure you will come up with something mr dronfield . reason i ask i have just got amazon fire stick with rca to hdmi cables and usb cable to run it . i no it will run on my rear screens . but it would be nice to have it on front screen also new vehicle purchase

You are more than welcome mate. My memory isn’t what it once was, but I know a few had tried this before. In an ideal world, we would be able to just add a “box” somewhere from a later model, but not in this case.

I have a Chromecast working on the front and rear screens of my '11.
It wasn't easy to do. Needed to cut into the factory looms for the RSE system.
The audio works through the speakers but also works through the headphones independently.
It is all hidden away in boot.

USB power feeds to nearside boot
HDMI to Av out
HDMI - Hdmi & optical
HDMI splitter
Optical splitter
Chromecast

You feed rear screens by using the aux in, but at the rse module.
Audio and video

You need to cut the video feed from rse to front screen - I added switch so I can easily switch to dvd/tv if needed.
If doing that I also need to unplug av line. I could add switch but unplugging is just as easy.

If I could get the correct plugs I could make a patch lead. But haven’t been able to find anything as yet.
