Do you not just flick the LHD/RHD lever over inside the lamp unit? |

ours is a late 2003 RHD and you just have to switch (under the bonnet) the lamp unit to LHD to make it road leagl in mainland Europe |

you can but it doesnt give a proper light distribution...thread on here somewhere re this.. edit..apparently the rhd lights point to the left and the switch just blanks the beam so it doesn't dazzle oncoming drivers. ... - .- -. Y. O. L. O. . |

It isn't a simple as that I suspect - If the car is a UK registered LHD spec car then to pass the UK MOT you have to have the right pattern of beam spread and that requires a set of UK pattern headlights - the little lever is only meant for temporary use like going touring in Europe. Friend of mine has a UK supplied / registered LHD RRS in Belgium. It was supplied with the correct LHD dipping pattern headlights. Last year he had to bring it back to the UK for it's MOT and had to buy a set of UK pattern headlights to pass the MOT, luckily I was selling my bling set with the LED's in them so he collected them, fitted them (took 5 minutes) went for MOT and passed! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Did buy a 2003, but as the gearbox gave in after 25km, he got it back. In the middle of doing a deal for a 2004 after they went to touch screen. Given up on trying to buy an LHD model in good condition for real money. |
