Err, maybe the engine wasn’t representative of the final product?

So there is an SVAD at launch then? That’s good to hear. Are you upgrading?

No Sir, I definitely won’t be upgrading. At the launch popped the bonnet and had 4 LR people around me like I just murdered someone, by all accounts I was not to lift the bonnet as the engine was not representative of the final product…..

I hope that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a V8 in the SV. Otherwise I won’t be bothering either. 🙁

Sorry Philip, i dont agree

This event was a pre launch of the “New” LR flagship product. And, there was clearly people invited who were being targeted to put an order in, as there was LR representatives hovering around with iPads so they could get you to “build” your new model and get your order in and sent to the Dealership of your choice.

As far as I’m concerned these cars should have been in showroom condition, as new, but they were not. If these people wanted me to part with my hard earned, then I should have been at least able to look at whatever i wanted.

But each to his own. 19MY SVA-Dynamic Spectral Chromoflair Blue but colour not available in profile

Have they kept the low waitline and large glass area of the 405, or is it more like the more hemmed in feeling of the D5?

Lyonhead, I thought the whole presentation was at best amateurish. I was delighted to be invited and will honour the NDA but there was far to much weighting towards the theatrical rather than the facts. All the representatives were in matching cream suits and were clueless on product specification.
Not long to go now till all can talk rather than guess. letters not necessarily in the right order

I’m no fan of the McGovernisation of Land Rover, but it seems a bit churlish to be annoyed about the car you’re getting a private preview of, six months ahead of going on sale, not being in final production spec.

It’s seems pretty obvious that a car built for a preview six months before it goes on sale might have some pre-production parts.

Ok we’ll let you count on your hand how many parts are different.

The design is done. Take it or leave it.

Craig made point on here months ago that all the press cars had been built some time ago.

If that is true it's hard to see much changing now or the press would be reviewing cars different to what people were going to buy.

The cars at the launches were pre-production and not representative of final production spec.
