Thanks will see if I can find one on ebay. Although I can clear the code it comes straight back, I might have to leave the good one plugged in or swap it over?

The good one needs to stay electrically connected to keep the fault codes away, but not necessarily located where Land Rover intended - lol. Paul,

Turns out I didn't have dpf's after all. I bought the egr delete map from Bell and installed it. Car runs as sweet as a nut, no faults and flew through its mot two weeks ago. Happy days

If the EGR’s are mapped out, would a faulty EGR cause an error message? 2011 TDV8 4.4 AB Bournville Brown

If they were mapped out properly, they shouldn't be trying to operate OR generate fault codes / error messages. Paul,

Thanks Paul, guessed as much, but didn’t like to assume that this was the case. 2011 TDV8 4.4 AB Bournville Brown

If you have a faulty EGR, it's possible to connect the output signal wire to the good one as they operate in tandem. It's pin 2 on both valves, make sure you disconnect the bad one!. I did mine in the E-box, pins H3 & G3 on connector C2518E (connector 'C'), again, disconnect the bad one and link the good one across both sensor inputs.

Rather than paying circa £40 for a blanking kit, which is an outrageous amount for the work involved, I took the pipes out, cleaned the manifold end, crimped together and brazed the ends shut - completely MoT tester compatible, even if you inadvertently leave the engine cover off.
