Parking assist system stopped working

Backed it into a tree Embarassed (gently) it was working a week ago…
Light on switch won’t illuminate when pressed but no warning beeps.
Iid tool fault U0159-00 lost communication with parking assist control module.
Most of the errors / faults seem to be with a faulty sensor which throws beeps etc but not a totally dead system
Where to start after checking the fuse? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Exactly the same symptoms as I had. After spending hours dismantling both front and rear bumpers to check the sensors, which were all fine, I bought a used module for £99 and fitted it in about 2 minutes flat. No more problems. Smile Bish.

2012 it's not behind the fuse box on the right but low down in the left load space compartment

Puller the plugs and there was some greenish corrosion on the pins but a brush up and squirt of WD-40 hasn't fixed it. Looks like a completely different unit to the earlier ones as well. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Can't work out what is the right part for this. Seems it's a common component on JLR and Fords. I suspect the key code is '15k866' but can't be 100% sure and there are no items I can find with the exact codes I have. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

WSM is in the Wiki.

Wiring is easy (ish) to follow - I'm no electrician and managed it.

The bumper covers will need to come off to get to the looms though which are a bit of a pain to remove.

My approach here:

Good luck! Bish.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's the ECU as when I pulled it apart there was some green Verdigris on the bottom of the board so some water must have got in there at some point. Also I'm assuming as the switch light doesn't even illuminate that it's not a sensor or sensor wiring problem. Really need to get this fixed so may have to pony up £200 for a new ECU as there are none with that part number on Ebay. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

2 used a brand new module later and the switch now at least flashes. Too dark to do any more investigating but next job is sensors and wiring..... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
