Went for a drive and after 15k,s there was a distinct thumping noise coming from the rear.
Turned around and nursed it home.
Checking the hubs ,the rght rear was decidely hot where the others were warmish.
Gather that the wheel bearing is crapping itself
Is it better to get both done as I gather the other side wouldnt have been done before.
Do I just get the wheel bearings done or for ease get the complete knuckle.
Any other hints tricks greatly appreciated.

Definitely not a sticking calliper? Is one calliper hotter than the other? 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Depends on if you know the cars history mate. Can always take it to your local test centre and ask them to check the other side but generally for me as a rule of thumb, I'd change them both

I would say 100% sticking caliper. Get a cheap infra red temperature gun and point it at the disc and compare side to side. That's how I found mine to be sticking. Or go for a run, then jack it up and see if the wheel is stiff to move compared to the other side. Better still if you whip the pads out and see if the wheel then free's off. With the pads out check for any play in the bearing.

Check the calipers first, when my rear ones seized the heat emitted was quite intense.

Went down to mechanic this morning and found that the caliper is the culprit.
Opposite side is 30* r/h side was 80*
Will be fixed Thursday
