As you are new, please do not be insulted by my post as we do not know the level of your 'spannering experience / ability, at a guess, you are not an engineer
Have you used the correct parts ?
Have all fastenings been tightened correctly ?
Has re-assembly of all components been carried out correctly ?
Have you used the correct lubrication in the right manner and in the correct locations ?
As you changed the discs, did you disturb the hand brake components / or renew the shoes ? ( whilst fitting new discs and pads, checking / changing the hand brake shoes ( setting up / adjusting ) etc is a good idea, saves having to do another job later on )
Then - considering the age of the car....
Check to see if any of the carrier return pin assemblies are seized. Common.
Very important, as you renewed the pads, I am assuming that you had to press the caliper pistons back into the housings, it could be that the pistons(s) are now seized. Common.
Last remote guess is that something else has gone wrong at the same time, a nasty co-incidence
Hope this helps.
PS - The 'Wiki' section on here is very good, and using the search function will give you lots of useful info, welcome to the wacky world of fatties.
