I have read this thread and all the others on changing wiper blades but I’’m struggling to get the rear wiper off. It’s the hook fitting but no lugs to press or tabs to pull. It has a rivet for the hinge and two slightly bigger holes forward of the hinge but no obvious tab to push in. After squirting a very small amount of penetrating oil into the fitting the wiper body is moving within the hook but will not slide out.
Advice would be appreciated.

I usually get mine to a vertical position by opening the boot slightly mid cycle - then just push the wiper upwards and it pops out

I tried that and nothing moved except the wiper arm bent to an alarming shape, but recovered.

Just did it again after your advice and with the bit of lubrication it gave way and it’s off.

Thank you Alistair, you gave me the confidence to push a bit harder.

Here's my old one.

You can see the tabs on the left end. They need to be squeezed together to release the blade.

They're not that strong so just pushing as Alastair says would probably work. I actually found it more fiddly to get the new one in place as the tabs aren't strong enough to spring out until perfectly aligned. Mike - MPx

Thanks Mike for your reply but that fitting is completely different to mine.
