I won't be doing it myself, i did both fronts on the Td6 but since then I have had a major operation and can't lift weights or undo/redo nuts and bolts which require a bit of effort. Really frustrating

Its getting those anti resonance dampers off the top of the strut that may be the issue imo |

Had the job done today. As expected the damper was not straightforward. Very tight. My chap had SnapOn tools which were equal to the job.

Started mine yesterday, thought everything was going OK, until I couldn't get the bottom strut bolt out, absolutely solid, gave up this morning and put everything back together, found a land rover small garage, who is also the britpart agent on the silver coast, got there at 11.30 packed in for lunch at 2pm, first side completed at 4pm, same issue on the other side, bottom bolt was a right bastard again. Job completed at 6pm. He wouldn't give me a price for the job and I just hung about tge garage keeping an eye on them.

At that price it's not worth doing it yourself. I was well content at โฌ100 and he came to me and did it in the bsrn. John

They are a vibration damper, you will need to use an impact wrench with 14mm Allen drive and large grips to stop the housing from rotating, I bet some people don't bother refitting them tbh |

As above, the black part unscrews but it requires heavy duty grips on the silver cup underneath to separate them. John

Not plastic and, although LR state it has very strong thread lock, mine had just a smear. John
